5th Gen iPhone Coming In January? Possibly To Verizon?

You’re still getting over the iPhone 4, but we’re already hot on the case of the iPhone 5. The 5th generation iPhone is already floating around the rumor mill, and of course we have all the news on it for you.
Word has it that it could be releasing as early as January 2011 to address the antenna issues with the iPhone 4. It could also possibly coincide with a Verizon release (where have we heard that before?) It’s unclear whether or not the iPhone 5 will be a new, redesigned iPhone, or if it will just have some hardware tweaks like the iPhone 3GS was.
This report from iLounge also suggests that maybe a new iPhone bumper will come along with it, an all silicone bumper which will be cheaper for Apple to produce. (Apple could do with a better bumper as we’ve just shown you how there not much good) They also claim that Apple were thinking of shipping bumpers with the iPhone 4 from the beginning, which would suggest that they new there could be antenna issues the whole time.
iLounge also claim to have information on next iPads and iPods. There expecting a smaller 7″ iPad and a new iPod shuffle with a touchscreen. A new iPod touch, and possibly a new iPod with a smaller 3″ screen. All expected to appear in September at Apple’s music event.
Now I think we can safely say that a lot of rumors turn out to be false, but iLounge has a track record of being somewhat right when it comes to their “reliable sources” so maybe some of these could turn out to be true.
