AT&T Limiting iPhone 4 Upload Speeds?

Oh AT&T, you’re forever causing us heartache and trouble. Why be so annoying! Yet again AT&T are messing around with iPhone users. This time, iPhone 4 users from a number of locations around the United States have been reporting significant drops in data upload speeds on AT&T’s 3G network.
Many users are seeing their iPhone 4 upload speeds maxing out at a mere 100 kbps, instead of 1500 kbps which users previously recorded.
Now we’re not sure if this is a technical fault with AT&T at the moment or if they are in fact throttling upload speeds since this issue doesn’t appear to be nationwide. It is prominent however in Boston, New York City, Washington DC, Houston, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Seattle among others.
One or two users on Macrumors have contacted AT&T representitives who say that they’re currently experiencing data issues, so maybe it’s just a temporary thing. But I wouldn’t be surprised if AT&T did limit the upload speeds, you never know what they’re up to.
