The Verizon iPhone rumors are looking more and more likely by the day now and US customers may finally be getting what they want, a reliable carrier and choice. In AT&T’s latest filling with the US Securities and Exchange commission, AT&T has mentioned that exclusivity agreements with certain sought after smartphones will be ending in the near future.
Granted AT&T didn’t specifically mention the iPhone, but what other “sought after” smartphones do they carry? We’ve heard several rumors running around that AT&T’s exclusivity is ending for 2010, and this would line up with the Verizon iPhone release date.
AT&T also said in the statement that they are confident that they wont be losing any customers to other networks when there exclusivity is up. Now I dont know about you, but I can see a lot of people jumping ship when the iPhone finds its way onto Verizon.
So there’s a bit more evidence to add to the mix for the Verizon iPhone, but we probably wont know anything for certain until later this year or January 2010.
