iOS 4.2 Beta Now Released For iPhone, iPod & iPad

iOS 4.1 has only just landed, but Apple are already working hard on the next firmware version, iOS 4.2. Now while it wont really have that many major changes for the iPhone, it represents a big change for the iPad.

It’s the first time that the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, will all be running the same firmware with multitasking, folders etc….
Apple announced that iOS 4.2 would be making it’s way onto to iPad and such in November and releasing the first beta is a step in the right direction towards that date.
So far, the new features in iOS 4.2 are really just what Apple told us would be coming at their press conference. We’ve seen the multitasking on the iPad, but we’ve also seen the new Airplay system which allows you to play music over wireless , as well as wireless printing.
