Apple Reducing Production Levels For CDMA iPhone?

The Verizon iPhone still hasn’t been officially confirmed, but lots of reports and rumors to point to a promising release in early 2011. However, Mike Abramsky with RBC Capital Markets said in a note to investors Friday that Apple has made some revisions to its production figures of the CDMA iPhone.
He said the numbers have been “adjusted to a more realistic forecast.” With the alleged reduced build plans, he expects 20 million sales, down from the previously fore casted 30 million.
There’s two things we can take from this,
1. It looks like Apple are going to produce a CDMA iPhone which would probably be destined for Verizon, as recently as September Mike Abramsky said that no official agreement had been reached between Verizon and Apple, the fact that they are talking about production numbers now would suggest they have.
2. The second reason is that Apple is afraid that Android will still be the number one device on Verizon, and the iPhone would only be second to it. Currently the majority of smartphones with Verizon are all Android based.
So once again, we’ve yet another bit of evidence to throw into the Verizon iPhone evidence pot….
