CDMA Verizon iPhones Being Tested – Could Arrive In January

The iPhone 4 Verizon rumors are really heating up now with more and more reliable sources and evidence pointing towards a January release date. Resident Apple guru John Gruber who just seems to know everything, has put up a lengthy blog post detailing the CDMA iPhone.

He says it’s codenamed “N92″ and has reached “engineering verification test” (EVT) status, which is apparently  just one step below “design verification test” this is the same stage the stolen iPhone 4 was at. That would mean that the CDMA iPhone 4, destined for Verizon is only two steps away from production.
So I think when you mix this post, the large orders of CDMA chips, the end of AT&T’s exclusivity and rumored January release dates, it’s looking good for a Verizon iPhone!
Now Gruber is careful to say that the CDMA version of the phone could be for other international carriers, and not Verizon specifically, but I have a feeling it’s for Verizon
Anyone else getting that vibe?
