He says it’s codenamed “N92″ and has reached “engineering verification test” (EVT) status, which is apparently just one step below “design verification test” this is the same stage the stolen iPhone 4 was at. That would mean that the CDMA iPhone 4, destined for Verizon is only two steps away from production.
So I think when you mix this post, the large orders of CDMA chips, the end of AT&T’s exclusivity and rumored January release dates, it’s looking good for a Verizon iPhone!
Now Gruber is careful to say that the CDMA version of the phone could be for other international carriers, and not Verizon specifically, but I have a feeling it’s for Verizon
