Display Improvements In Next Gen iPhone

Foxconn producers of the iPhone seem to be prepping to ship 24 million of the next-generation iPhones during 2010. Digitimes also reported that the Next Gen iPhone will see a number of improvements that will make it stand out from the crowd once again and put it at the front of the pack.
One of these stand out features would be a screen which would carry a resolution of 960 x 640 pixels, up from 480 x 320 in the current iPhone and larger than nearly all smartphones available at this point in time. While we have seen prototype models of the next gen iPhone, we can’t officially confirm this as of yet.
The next-generation iPhone’s display will also reportedly adopt fringe-field switching (FFS), a technology that should improve viewing angles and performance in bright sunlight.
By incorporating FFS technology, which enables a wider viewing angle and clearer visual quality under in sunlight, Apple is aiming to improve the handset’s e-book reader features and promote its iBooks Store. HTC’s Hero smartphone has already adopted this technology.
According to the report, the panel on the new iPhone is 33% thinner than in current models, allowing for increased battery size. It also says that the iPhone 4G will run on the Arm Cortex A8 processor with 512MB of RAM which is double than that in the iPhone 3GS, probably to take  of the multi-tasking capability of the iPhone 4.0 platform.
So why we know what it looks like, we are still a bit hazy as to what the specs of the iPhone 4G will be.
What do you think we’ll find under the hood of the next gen iPhone?
