The evidence is mounting by the day, the anticipation is building and the demand is most certainly there, but we still haven’t got it. We’ve still got no official word of a Verizon iPhone, but everyone is betting on one.
It’s now rumored that Verizon are hiring hundreds of Call Center staff though third-party hiring companies, leading us all to believe that they’re gearing up for a major product launch.
According to a report from Cnet, Customer service call center staffing companies Teleperformance and Ryla are looking for thousands of customer service representatives to field calls for a “major wireless cell phone service retailer”
Another Teleperformance call center in Augusta, Georgia will double it’s employees for a “major wireless company that we have secured a new line of business, one of our existing clients,” Marcie Ballard, vice president of recruiting for Teleperformance, told the Augusta Chronicle, although she declined to say which provider.
Both of these companies have previous experience of provide support for Verizon and Teleperformance also works with Apple
Now while this isn’t solid evidence at all, it just seems to conveniently coincide with all the rumors for the Verizon iPhone release
