More Signs Of Next Gen iPhone and iPod Touch

Some enthusiasts have been digging around the internal file systems of the iPad and they found something more than they bargained for. Hidden away, they have found pretty much conformation of the next generation iPhone along with a new iPod Touch and even a 2nd gen iPad!

Just so you know, Apple users a major,minor version number system. So iPhone 2G was 1,1, iPhone 3G was 1,2, and iPhone 3GS was 2,1. Big jumps equal big hardware (i.e. non-cosmetic) changes, and that looks like what we’re getting:

• iPhone 3,1
• iPhone 3,2
• iPhone 3,3

Why is there 3 version numbers? Well maybe it could be one for GSM, one for China ( CDMA networks ) and maybe even one for Verizon? ( US CDMA )
With regard to the others,

• iPod 4,1

4th generation iPod touch, likely this September just like every year,

• iProd 2,1

iPad was originally iProd 1,1 so it looks like Apple’s already got the 2nd generation iPad in the labs for March 2011. They don’t waste time do they?
