iPhone 4G Has Screen Resolution Of 960X640

This rather boring looking picture below actually has some exciting facts to it. While it may not look like much to us average human beings, but to your nutty professor this is magic! If you’re bothered to count you can get some tasty information from it, like the fact it has a screen resolution of 960×640!

Yes that’s right, we can pretty much confirm that the Next Gen iPhone will have a screen resolution of 960×640. This news is courtesy of superiphone.cz who claim to have got their hands on yet another iPhone 4G. While we can’t confirm that this is in fact legit information, we’re fairly certain, and anyone who goes through this much trouble must have something real.
They put the device underneath the microscope to get a look at the screen pixel density and display technology. From this procedure, they were able to count the RGB elements of the screen and found it to be exactly twice the density in both horizontal and vertical directions compared to the current iPhone. This would quadruple the total number of pixels and increase the resolution from the current 480×320 to 960×640. It would also increase the pixel density to an impressive 320dpi , which is higher than any other device on the market.
This news would coincide with rumors we heard earlier on this month.
Not only will this provide a great viewing experience for users, but it will also mean that upscaling the pixels for existing apps won’t be a problem, much like what they did for the iPad.
Would you go for the iPhone 4G now because of this higher res screen?
Let me know in the comments
Anyway, we’ll know all for certain at WWDC in just over a week! Who’s excited??
