While we never had any solid evidence that the rumor we posted up a couple of weeks ago was actually true, it was fun to toy around with the idea. Apparently Apple were looking into developing a built in software based sim card which couldn’t actually be removed, making it easier to activate phones, see more about it here
But if you didn’t like the sound of that, don’t worry because it looks like Apple have scraped the whole idea before it even got off the ground.
The Daily Telegraph has said that Apple gave up on this plan will continue to ship the current iPhones and future iPhones with Sim Cards, just as usual.
So basically, it’s not happening, next rumor?
