No, iPhone 5 Will Not Be Released in August

While Apple remains silent regarding a release of its next iPhone, there are signs pointing out a possible release in August, and not in September as previously rumored.
Here is how the story would probably take its course. First, Apple will make some invitations to an event, ambiguously specifying what it is about. A week later during the event Steve Jobs will take the stage sharing statistics and figures before getting to the point. Towards the end, the release date for the iPhone 5. Probably sometime between the event date and the release date, online preorders may begin.
Still, why August? A main clue would be the refurbished iPhone 3GS, which are now being sold for $9 by AT&T, aiming to clear it out before the release of iPhone 5. They wouldn’t be making this risky move in July if the release date would be more than a month later.

Also, the iOS 5, set for release in the fall, is on its third beta test, meaning its closer to being released. The rumored iPhone 4S was apparently nothing more than a misunderstood idea and the supposition that Apple would first release an iPhone 4S and afterwards the iPhone 5 is now clearly seen as a false scenery.
When Apple realized they won’t be able to release the iPhone 5 in June, as they first intended, they launched a white version of iPhone 4 just to buy some time. Apple needs to hurry up a bit and bring on the release date of iPhone 5 as soon as possible.
Why not in August? First of all, it’s hard to imagine that Apple doesn’t “listen” to the rumors on the web, maybe some of them have been spread by the company itself. Therefore, Apple already knows that many are expecting the iPhone 5 in fall, September being the most probable date. Releasing it in August will be a bad timing. Releasing it in October would be a better idea, as by then, much more relevant leaks and rumors will appear and Apple will already have crowds of devotees eagerly expecting the “revolutionary” iPhone.
