iPhone 5 Arriving ” A Couple Of Months Later Than Usual”

We’ve been having all sorts of rumors over the past couple of months. Many are vague, some are outrageous and even the odd one is realistic. But one that seems almost certain now is that the iPhone 5 will not be released in the Summer of 2011, breaking Apple’s usual release cycle.
Instead it would seem a September release is more plausible, as has been previously rumored on several occasions. Yet another analyst has issued a report confirming this.
This latest report informs us that on average there are 79 days between Apple’s iOS software event and the iPhone hardware announcement. There have also been an average of 99 days between the software event and the actual ship date of the new iPhone.
Then if we assume that Apple will be announcing iOS 5 at WWDC in June, another 79 days from that brings us up to the end of August for the announcement of the iPhone 5. That would mean the iPhone 5 will ship in September.
As well as this release date, the Analyst company Piper Jaffray also reckons that the iPhone 5 will have the larger 4 inch screen which has been widely rumored. They also noted that because of the Tsunami earthquake, delays may have occurred in product development, especially with testing the new LTE technology. So that may not find it’s way in the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S as it was called the other day
